I’m not a vegetarian, but I absolutely love the idea of Meatless Mondays 🙂

I’m not a vegan, but London’s vegan restaurant, Veg Out,  is one of my favourite restaurants 🙂

I’m not a raw foodist, but I convinced my Dad in letting me rob him of his dehydrator 🙂

I’m me. Just me. I eat what I enjoy which usually consists of healthy, wholesome, unprocessed foods. I grew up being allergic to chocolate and peanuts, so I have never developed that “sweet tooth”, but if I do crave something sweet, you can be sure I will be in the kitchen creating a “healthified” version of a favourite treat using wholesome foods or I may just be sitting at Yoyo’s with a few friends relishing in a froyo… 😉

  2. Your food looks amazing. Have you always been very health conscious? I recently adapted a healthy lifestyle but I used to eat chips and pop all day long. Needless to say I am in much of a better place now! My problem is calories and weight. I am still not content with my weight (want to lose a couple more pounds but my BMI is 18.4 so my doctor thinks this isn’t correct and am unsure of how many calories I should be eating. Do you mind me asking how many you eat or what BMI you would consider healthy? I know you are not a professional but you seem to know your stuff !

    • Dietitans are starting lean away from using BMI’s actually. That is what we learnt in class this past week. It’s not as accurate is once thought. If you want to know how many cals you need per day there are tons of online calculators that can help you out with that 🙂 Of course they are just estimates and you need to find out for yourself what exactly your body needs, but they do give you some help! 🙂 I like the livestrong.com calculator, but all of them are similar, so you can use which ever you find 🙂

      I grew up in a family that always ate really healthy 🙂 But when I was in jr. high I did eat a lot of processed foods, but I have never been a j”sweet” unk food eater (chocolate bars, candy, etc.) Now I love the healthy lifestyle my parents have always promoted 🙂
