My Baby is Born!

I have a very exciting announcement for all of you this evening Open-mouthed smile My baby has been born! My blog baby that is Winking smile

I have been waiting quite a while to write my first post, but wanting to make sure the blog was set up just how I wanted Smile Sure I will make a few adjustments here and there, but I wanted to make a good first impression on all of you Winking smile

So I will take this time to welcome you all to my blog, A Dash of Meg Smile Thanks for stopping by! I won’t write a huge post about myself because I already did that on the About page Winking smile Make sure you check that out if you want to get to know me a little bit better!

That’s me right now, writing my first post! I hope you all can see how excited I am to be writing my first post! Open-mouthed smile

Or does this scream excitement a little louder!? Winking smile

(Notice I have Gina’s blog up in the background – currently reading her latest post! I read her blog every single day!)

So why don’t I get the ball rolling here and tell you the one thing that I am just dying to share with you all!?

A week tomorrow I will be starting my THIRD year of university! I am pretty pumped Smile As you get to know me you will find out that my love for school is unreal. Seriously. I took two summer classes this summer; not to get ahead in life, but because I can’t get enough of them books Winking smile I enjoyed my summer classes and will definitely be doing a couple next summer as well! Another exciting thing about to happen in my life is moving back to London, ON. I spent my summer in Yorkton, SK., but on Tuesday A.M. I will be flying high in the sky back to the place I now call home Open-mouthed smile This trip is particularly exciting because my Mom will be coming with me Smile She is flying to London with me on Tuesday to get me all set up for school Smile How lucky am I!? I can’t get enough of her. I can already tell you I will try to get her to stay longer than planned (she is to leave Sunday).

My Mom and I has made many trips out to London this past year to come visit me Smile I am one lucky girl, but hey, a girl needs her best friend right? Winking smile

Since I will be leaving the prairies shortly, I have been trying to schedule as many visits, coffee dates, supper dates, lunch dates, etc. in these past few weeks as much as possible. I try my very best to keep in contact with my true friends. I never want to lose them Smile

Today was definitely one of those days scheduled for visits to say my good-byes before I leave for the big city.

I stopped by the pharmacy where I work to say good-bye to my co-workers then I had lunch with one of my sweetest friends, Jody.

(This picture made me realize how I am in dire need of bangs! Disappointed smile Thoughts/suggestions/opinions anyone? Any good hairstyles spotted lately?)

Jody has recently finished her schooling in Lethbridge, AB. She has a diploma in Journalism and is absolutely amazing with words, writing, and a camera! She is quite the little photographer Winking smile I had a wonderful time with Jody. We he so much to catch up on! Summer has been crazy and not a lot of hang outs took place between the two of us, but we definitely filled each other in on life over the time we spent enjoying our lunch at Subway Smile I was thrilled when Jody mentioned that she has been thinking about taking a trip to London to see me! I haven’t had too many visitors other than my parents, so I would be the happiest girl if she had the chance to come visit me Smile

Tomorrow I have some other dates planned; a coffee date in the morning before lunch, a special dinner date with my Mom that you will hear more about tomorrow Winking smile, and maybe a few more “drop-ins” at relatives’ houses for a quick good-bye! Saying good-bye is always hard, but it’s not for long as I am back in Yorkton for Thanksgiving weekend!

Even though life is a little hectic right now with all of the packing and visiting, I am enjoying all of my visits with friends and family and trying to squeeze in as many as possible before I leave! Even if I have an hour with someone it is better than not seeing them at all Smile

Tea time for me now! I have had a raspberry tea steeping for quite sometime now and I believe I hear it calling my name Winking smile

Did you find it hard to make plans with friends this summer?

How many friends do you still keep in contact with from high school? Elementary school?

Do you prefer long hang-outs or a quick catch up over coffee?

Nighty night,

Meg

xoxo
